Doc Zone 9 p.m. on (CBC) Montreal filmmaker Josh Freed’s documentary “Deluged by Data” examines the techno-tsunami that occasionally threatens to overwhelm contemporary culture, turning more casual users into “datasexuals” who become seduced and even obsessed by the growing access to new data. The film also considers the perspective of former data freaks who recognize they are suffering from “infobesity” that leads some of them to go to special digital retreats for a digital detox. Food Fighters 9 p.m. on (GLO), (NBC-B), (NBC-D) A husband, father and firefighter also sets out to prove himself a cook of merit as the Georgia man pits his kitchen skills against those of pros — including celebrated chef Lorena Garcia — in the new episode “Fighting Fire With Food.” After the hour’s initial stages pit him against five experts, he faces off against Garcia ... and if he triumphs over all of them, a prize of $100,000 will be his. Adam Richman is the host. Cedar Cove 9 p.m. on (W) In the new episode “A Helping Hand,” Jack (Dylan Neal) pressures Olivia (Andie MacDowell) to move in with him, which only leaves her feeling less sure that she can trust him. When Jack’s work summons him to Seattle, Olivia finds herself spending more time in Cedar Cove with new district attorney Paul Watson (guest star Colin Ferguson). Grace (Teryl Rothery) can tell daughter Maryellen (Elyse Levesque) is hiding something when the latter turns up for an unscheduled visit. Mom 9:31 p.m. on (CBS-B) Christy (Anna Faris) decides it’s time to get out of the waitressing game in “Nudes and a Six Day Cleanse.” She makes a definite bid to pursue a new career. Bonnie and Alvin (Allison Janney, Kevin Pollak) try to live their youth again, and the results aren’t necessarily attractive at their present ages. Alan Rachins (“L.A. Law”) guest stars. Bones 10 p.m. on (FOX-R) Those not yet on Twitter are subject to jokes from others who are social-media-savvy, but they have one less target — Brennan (Emily Deschanel) — as of now in “The Teacher in the Books.” She finally learns how to tweet, to help market her books, and “squintern” Jessica (guest star Laura Spencer) offers valuable tips. As for the case of the week, a teacher’s death prompts an investigation of fellow faculty members and students. Rookie Blue 11 p.m. on (ABC-B) The new episode “Home Run” is the second one this season directed by Gregory Smith, who also plays the series’ Officer Dov Epstein. Sam (Ben Bass) intends to get away with Andy (Missy Peregrym) to Oliver’s (Matt Gordon) cabin, but things don’t go as planned.
