On­tario man charged af­ter ac­ci­dent

A 69-year-old On­tario res­i­dent has been charged with turn­ing when he wasn’t sup­posed to af­ter a col­li­sion in­volv­ing a car and a mo­tor­cy­cle. On July 24, Char­lot­te­town po­lice re­sponded to the col­li­sion at one of the traf­fic cir­cles on River­side Drive in Char­lot­te­town. Is­land EMS at­tended the scene and took the mo­tor­cy­cle rider to the Queen El­iz­a­beth Hos­pi­tal for treat­ment of non-life threat­en­ing in­juries. Af­ter in­ves­ti­gat­ing, the po­lice charged the On­tario res­i­dent with a vi­o­la­tion of the High­way Traf­fic Act.
