Spe­cial acous­tic evening to be held tonight in Emer­ald

Join Court­ney Ho­gan and Mark Rooney for a spe­cial in­ti­mate, acous­tic per­for­mance at the Emer­ald Com­mu­nity Cen­tre to­day at 7:30 p.m.

Rooney is a mem­ber of the mu­si­cal group, Mac­a­roon. They per­form at the Char­lot­te­town Wa­ter­front, Peake’s Quay ev­ery Sun­day af­ter­noon in the sum­mer months.

Ho­gan, who is busy work­ing in Monc­ton through the week as a vet­eri­nar­ian, loves com­ing home to per­form on Fri­day evenings. She has been play­ing the fid­dle for 14 years and has re­leased three CDs and is cur­rently work­ing on a Christ­mas al­bum with Gor­don Belsher and Richard Wood.

She will be pre-selling the al­bum at her ceilidhs, and the al­bum will then be sent to the re­cip­i­ent by the end of Novem­ber.

This spe­cial acous­tic per­for­mance will be held in the pub; food and drinks will be avail­able.
