The death occurred peace­fully at the Colville Manor in Souris on Sun­day, Jan­uary 3, 2016 of Rita MacDonald (nee Chev­erie) in he 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Ron­nie MacDonald and for­merly of East Point. Lov­ing mother of Michael (Mary), Joe (Laura), Mar­ion (Char­lie) Flynn, Fran­cis (Louise), Ronelda, Danny (Ni­cole), Don­nie (Shelly), Margie (Richard) Gal­lant, and Glo­ria (Matthew) Crock­ett. Lov­ing nanny to Stephen, Bryan, Aaron, and Meaghan Flynn, Pam Yafai, Ch­eryl Ed­munds, Ron­nie, Ben, Beth, Ab­bie, Jake, Lu­cas, Amelia and Will MacDonald, Emily and Kenny Gal­lant, Sam and Alina Crock­ett. Proud great grannie to Josie and Ge­nie Flynn, and Farah Yafai. Sur­vived by sis­ter Marie (Reg) MacDonald, sis­ter-in-law Rose Chev­erie, and nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews. Pre­de­ceased by sis­ters, Beatrice, Fran, Tena; broth­ers, John, Ge­orge, Bernie, Joe, and spe­cial broth­erin-law, Vic­tor. Rest­ing at the Ding­well Fu­neral Home in Souris for vis­it­ing hours on Wed­nes­day, Jan­uary 6, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thurs­day morn­ing from 9-10 a.m. Fu­neral to be held on Thurs­day morn­ing to St. Columba Ro­man Catholic Church in Fair­field for fu­neral mass to be cel­e­brated at 11 a.m. In­ter­ment in the church ceme­tery. Memo­ri­als made to the Colville Manor Res­i­dence Coun­cil Ac­tiv­ity Fund or St. Columba Restora­tion Fund would be ap­pre­ci­ated. On­line con­do­lences may be made at www.ding­wellfh.
