Work­shops set for han­dling, trans­port­ing of pota­toes

The Prince Ed­ward Is­land Potato Board is hit­ting the road with a se­ries of five work­shops over the next week and a half.

The work­shops deal with clean­ing and dis­in­fec­tion in re­la­tion to the han­dling and trans­port­ing of pota­toes. Sched­uled pre­sen­ters are David MacSwain and Dr. Solke DeBoer who are well-known to the in­dus­try for their pre-re­tire­ment work with the Cana­dian Food In­spec­tion Agency, and Ken Lin­g­ley, an agri­cul­tural en­gi­neer who runs On-Tar­get Sprayer Ser­vices.
