P.E.I. French Health Network seeks artist to create artwork for prize
The P.E.I. French Health Network (PEIFHN), in collaboration with the Fédération culturelle de l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard is seeking proposals for the creation of an artwork for the Étoile Santé prize, which will be awarded at the Étoile Santé galas.
With the purpose of promoting, recruiting and making people aware of health professionals who offer French-language health services in Prince Edward Island, the first Étoile Santé gala will take place in March 2016 to celebrate the individuals who have been recognized since the beginning of the Étoile Santé campaign in January 2015 ‒ P.E.I.'s health services providers who offer French-language services to the Island's Acadian and Francophone community.
In order to be able to award an Étoile Santé prize during the gala, the PEIFHN is looking for an artist to develop an artwork that is symbolic of the campaign. The chosen artwork will be handmade and appropriately-sized to be presented on stage at the Étoile Santé gala and exhibited in the various workplaces of winners.
To be eligible, an artist must be able to speak French and be a resident of P.E.I.
The deadline to submit a proposal is Jan. 31.
The artist whose artwork is chosen will receive $500 (in addition to the production costs).
