Best Risque, un­der the con­trol of Corey MacPher­son, notched her third win in a row and re­mains per­fect in 2016 af­ter cap­tur­ing the Satur­day af­ter­noon fea­ture at Red Shores at the Char­lot­te­town Driv­ing Park.

The mare, trained by Brian Lad­ner for his co-own­ers Lil­lian and Kevin Lad­ner, held off a late clos­ing Blaz­ing By (Brian An­drew) and frac­tion-set­ter Sam (Ja­son Hughes) for the 2:01.4 score.

MacPher­son had four win­ners on the pro­gram, also parad­ing Hur­ri­cane Hill, Good­morn­ing­mis­ter and Idealic Life to vic­tory lane. Idealic Life ex­tended his win­ning streak to five in row claim­ing the Mr Salm­ing Pace in a sparkling 1:56.3 for trainer Trevor Hicken and the own­er­ship team of Kent Liv­ingston, Perry, Robin and Luke Burke.

Marc Camp­bell also recorded a grand slam, leav­ing him one shy of 1,500 in his ca­reer. Camp­bell started the af­ter­noon with top hon­ours aboard the Todd Walsh-trained Wan­das­bet­tor­choice and clicked with Bar­rett Jack­son, Ideal Life­style and Ea­gle Jolt in the Mr Domi pace.
