The death oc­curred peace­fully, sur­rounded by her lov­ing fam­ily, on Fri­day, Jan­uary 8, 2016, of Rose­line “Rosie” Gal­lant, of Sum­mer­side, aged 86 years. Born in St. Hu­bert, she was the daugh­ter of the late Dolore and Mary Anne Arse­nault. Sur­vived by her chil­dren Dorothy (Kevin) Ped­dle, Donna Richards, Ray­mond Gal­lant, Melvin (Gail) Gal­lant, Blaine (Geral­dine) Gal­lant, Laura Liv­ingston, Janet Gal­lant, Barb Gal­lant (Blair Bow­ness), Ger­ard “Turk” (Pam) Gal­lant and Erma (Stephen) Gal­lant; by 16 grand­chil­dren; 12 great-grand­chil­dren; sons-in-law Vic Richards and Robert Liv­ingston; brothers Leo (Ger­maine) Arse­nault and John (Azele) Arse­nault: and by a brother-in-law Ray­mond Giles. Pre­de­ceased by her hus­band Joseph “Al­phie” Gal­lant; son Lawrence “Larry” Gal­lant; great-grand­daugh­ter Alysha Lynn Richards; daugh­ter-in-law Frances Holt-Gal­lant; sons-in­law David Chev­erie and Ivan O’Brien; sis­ters Rita Gaudet and Mary Giles; and by a brother Ray­mond Arse­nault, in in­fancy. Rest­ing at the Moase Fu­neral Home, Sum­mer­side, un­til Wed­nes­day, then to St. Paul’s Church, Sum­mer­side, for fu­neral mass at 2:30 p.m. In­ter­ment later in St. Paul’s Ceme­tery, Sum­mer­side. Vis­it­ing hours Tues­day from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Me­mo­rial do­na­tions to the Arthri­tis So­ci­ety or the Heart and Stroke Foun­da­tion would be ap­pre­ci­ated.
