Driver of parked ve­hi­cle loses li­cence

A driver in a park­ing lot lost their driv­ers li­cence for seven days over the week­end. A re­port from Char­lot­te­town Po­lice Ser­vices said it got a call about an im­paired driver on Univer­sity Av­enue just af­ter 3 a.m. Sun­day. Pa­trols were made and the sus­pect ve­hi­cle was even­tu­ally seen at a park­ing lot off the av­enue. “(The) op­er­a­tor of (the) ve­hi­cle in­di­cated an alert on the road­side screen­ing de­vice and was is­sued a seven-day driv­ing sus­pen­sion,” said the po­lice re­port. “Char­lot­te­town Po­lice Ser­vices en­cour­age the pub­lic to re­port any in­stances of im­paired driv­ing (by call­ing) 911,” said the re­port.
