The fu­neral mass for Sis­ter Noreen Ham­mill (Sis­ter Joseph Noreen) was held on Satur­day, Jan­uary 2, 2016, from Belvedere Fu­neral Home to The Chapel at The Mount Con­tin­u­ing Care Com­mu­nity with Rev­erend Gerry Tin­g­ley as cel­e­brant, who pro­claimed the Gospel and de­liv­ered the homily. Ush­ers were Sis­ter Theresa Perry and Sis­ter Teresa Cur­rie. The read­ings were pro­claimed by Sis­ter Kath­leen Bol­ger and Win­nifred Rolle­ston. Irene Burge led the as­sem­bly in the Prayers of In­ter­ces­sion. Sis­ter Lor­raine Chais­son was the al­tar server with Sis­ter Mary Deighan as cross bearer and Karen Con­don and Noreen Ha­ley as can­dle bear­ers. The pall was placed on the cas­ket by her sis­ter, Gla­dys Greene, her sis­ter-in-law, Dorothy Ham­mill, and Sis­ter Min­erva McDon­ald. The can­tors were Sis­ter He­len Fo­ley and Sis­ter Joan Camp­bell. The or­gan­ist was Ber­nadette Power. Dur­ing the fu­neral mass, the choir led in singing Ev­er­more I’ll Sing Your Praise, Ave Maria, I Am the Liv­ing Bread, Songs of the An­gels and Hymn to St. Martha. Salve Regina was sung at the grave­side. Pall­bear­ers were Jammy Guerette, David Ha­ley, Reg Hamill, Wil­fred Kelly, Ken­neth Mon­aghan and Bobby McGee. In­ter­ment took place in Sis­ters of St. Martha Ceme­tery.
