Scotchfort raid nets marijuana
A police raid on a home in Scotchfort Tuesday found marijuana all done up and ready for sale. The raid began around 10 a.m. involving offices from both Queens and Kings district RCMP offices. “The home was searched and a quantity of pre-packaged marijuana in varying amounts (was) seized,” said a statement issued by the police force Wednesday. The end result was the arrest of a 55-year-old man from Scotchfort. He is facing drugtrafficking charges. The man has been released from custody and will be appearing in provincial court at a later date, said the RCMP. “If you have information about this, or any other investigation, call the RCMP or Crime Stoppers,” said the release.
