CraveTV ex­pands ser­vice to Cana­di­ans

TORONTO — Bell Me­dia's CraveTV stream­ing ser­vice is now avail­able to all In­ter­net­con­nected Cana­di­ans. CraveTV's cat­a­logue in­cludes older off-air HBO TV se­ries like “The So­pra­nos” and “Sex and the City” and Show­time shows in­clud­ing “The Af­fair,” “Penny Dread­ful” and the new drama “Bil­lions.” It costs $7.99 a month to sub­scribe, with a one-month free trial avail­able to new users. TV cus­tomers with providers in­clud­ing Bell, Eastlink, Sasktel and Telus can bun­dle in CraveTV ac­cess for a lower rate. CraveTV com­petes with Netflix and Shomi, a stream­ing ser­vice launched by Rogers and Shaw. In Canada, Netflix of­fers three plans rang­ing from $7.99 to $11.99 a month. Shomi charges $8.99 a month.
