It’s not the start to 2016 the Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals were looking for. After losing 7-4 to the Dieppe Commandos on Sunday afternoon, the Caps have lost three games in a row and eight of their last 12 dating back to Nov. 28. The Caps fell to 22-10-1-0, and are now tied with the Commandos (22-9-1-0) for second place in the Roger Meek Division and overall standings in the Maritime Junior Hockey League. The teams went into the third period tied 3-3. Nathan Yetman gave the Caps a 4-3 lead in the first minute of the final frame, but the Commandos responded by scoring four unanswered goals. Sam LeBlanc (1-1), Riley Whittingham (1-1) and Tanner McCabe also scored for the Capitals, who received assists from Blaize Bridges (2), Thomas Stavert, Jesse Annear, Josh Pugsley and Sebastian Cormier. Jason Rioux earned the goaltending win over Matt Williams.
