The fu­neral for James D. “Jimmy” MacNabb of Grand Tra­cadie was held on Fri­day, Jan­uary 8, 2016 from Hen­nessey Cut­cliffe Char­lot­te­town Fu­neral Home to St. Michael’s Church, Cor­ran Ban, where the fu­neral mass was cel­e­brated by Rev­erend Keith Ken­nific, who also de­liv­ered the homily. The first read­ing was pro­claimed by niece, An­drea VanRooyen, and the se­cond read­ing was pro­claimed by daugh­ter, Car­rie MacNabb. The prayers of in­ter­ces­sion were of­fered by niece, Ka­t­rina Hazel­wood. The fu­neral mass was sung by St. Michael’s Parish. Gui­tarist was Joan McDougall. They ren­dered the open­ing hymn, Prayer Of St. Fran­cis, and the re­ces­sional hymn, Hymn To St. Terese. Michael MacKin­non, Don­nie MacKin­non and John MacKin­non ren­dered the of­fer­tory hymn, With Faith I Go. The Bradley Sis­ters ren­dered the com­mu­nion hymn, O God Of Love­li­ness. An­drea Corder ren­dered the post com­mu­nion se­lec­tion, A Time To Say Good­bye. The pall­bear­ers were grand­chil­dren, Nick Den­nis, Chad Den­nis, Chris Den­nis, Dy­lan MacDougall, Jamie MacNabb, Lo­gan MacNabb and Puddy Banks. Hon­orary pall­bear­ers were ev­ery­one in at­ten­dance. Among those at­tend­ing the fu­neral liturgy were rep­re­sen­ta­tives of APM and P.E.I. Hos­pi­tal School of Nurs­ing Class of 62.
