The fu­neral for Larry Trainor was cel­e­brated Fri­day, Jan­uary 8, 2016 at the Strat­ford Chapel, Hills­boro Fu­neral Home, with Fr. Bob Coady pro­claim­ing the Gospel and de­liv­er­ing the homily. Re­becca MacLeod read the first read­ing and Megan Davies read the se­cond read­ing. Or­gan­ist, Judy Dono­van Whitty, and soloist, Flora Anne Whitty, pro­vided the mu­sic. The pro­ces­sional hymn was This Day God Gives Me; re­spon­so­rial psalm, To You O’ Lord I lift My Soul; med­i­ta­tion, Christ Be­fore Us; and the re­ces­sional hymn was Love Devine, All Loves Ex­celling. The hon­orary pall­bear­ers were all those in at­ten­dance. The pall­bear­ers were Kirk MacLeod, Allen Trainor, Jamie Ju­niper, Don­ald Trainor, Justin Gosley and Gary Ma­cLure. The flower­bear­ers were An­gela Cameron, Matthew Trainor, Evan Trainor and Daniel Trainor. In­ter­ment took place at Mon­tague Com­mu­nity Park Ceme­tery with Fr. Ger­ard Chais­son de­liv­er­ing the grave­side prayers. Mayor Richard Collins, mem­bers of Mon­tague Town Coun­cil and staff, Mon­tague Vol­un­teer Fire Brigade and mem­bers of the RCMP were present. Com­ple­tion of fu­neral ar­range­ments was en­trusted to the Hills­boro Fu­neral Home.
