Dylan Dingwell, who served federal time for the 2011 shooting death of his brother in Charlottetown, is before the courts in Nova Scotia.

Dingwell, 27, who now resides in New Minas, N.S., was charged last week with possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

He has consented to be remanded in custody until his next court appearance in April.

Dingwell was found guilty of manslaughter for shooting his brother, Kyle Dingwell, on Jan. 17, 2011, and sentenced to fiveand-a-half years in prison, minus 17 months for time served.

He was granted full parole in February 2014.

On Jan. 13, Nova Scotia RCMP and members of the Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit arrested two people after executing a residential search warrant in New Minas.

During the search, police seized a quantity of cocaine, cash and electronics.

A co-accused, Aspasia Maria Paredrakos-MacCumber, 27, also from New Minas, is charged jointly with Dingwell.

She was released from custody following her arrest and is scheduled to appear in Kentville provincial court April 4.

Police say Dingwell and Paredrakos-MacCumber were arrested without incident and the investigation is continuing.
