Josh Currie signed an AHL contract for the remainder of the season Saturday with the Bakersfield Condors. The former Summerside Western Capitals player and P.E.I. Rocket captain has three goals and four assists in 24 games. He was on a 25-game professional tryout contract after being called up from the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals earlier this season. The 23year-old Charlottetown native led the Condors in assists with 28 and was second in scoring with 42 points when the Condors played in the ECHL last season. The Condors are coached by former UPEI Panthers and Charlottetown Armour Fence Islanders forward Gerry Fleming.
