York man ar­rested for im­paired driv­ing

A 34-year-old man from York is fac­ing im­paired driv­ing charges fol­low­ing a road­side check stop on Tues­day night.

Just af­ter 9 p.m., RCMP were con­duct­ing the road­side check in Bald­win Road when the odour of liquor was ap­par­ent from the York man’s breath as he was speak­ing to an of­fi­cer.

The man sub­se­quently failed a road­side screen­ing de­vice test and was ar­rested for im­paired driv­ing of­fences.
