Is­lan­der Day in Char­lot­te­town will in­volve some free stuff for fam­i­lies.

The City of Char­lot­te­town will be serv­ing up a pan­cake break­fast, fam­ily swims, bowl­ing, per­for­mances by The Mu­sic Man - Michael Pen­der­gast, skat­ing at the Sim­mons Arena and more on Mon­day, Feb. 15.

Things kick off at the West Roy­alty Com­mu­nity Cen­tre at 8 a.m. with a free pan­cake break­fast.

The fam­ily skate be­gins at 9:30 a.m. at Sim­mons Sport Cen­tre, and the CARI pool is of­fer­ing two fam­ily swims at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Mayor Clifford Lee says Is­lan­der Day was es­tab­lished to pro­vide a short win­ter break, a hol­i­day for fam­i­lies to spend time to­gether.

“We’re pleased that we’re once again able to host an Is­lan­der Day cel­e­bra­tion of free ac­tiv­i­ties for all ages. We in­vite ev­ery­one to come join us,” Lee said in a news re­lease.
