Mennonites positive assets

The Guardian (Charlottetown) - - EDITORIAL -

Allan Weeks Real Estate says a number of Mennonites families are looking at buying farms on P.E.I. and will be a positive asset for our beef plant. They like P.E.I. for expansion because land is much cheaper here as compared to land costs in Ontario. Mr. Weeks plans on seeing them again at the London Farm Show in March and make some deals if they decide to relocate to the Island. Mennonites are excellent farmers and will be an asset to any rural community and will add to Island culture. They are welcome here because some Island farmers want to sell and retire. Mr. Weeks should be rewarded for his hard work. David Steeves, Charlottetown
