Storm snaps los­ing streak

Brent Jen­nings had 27 points Fri­day to pace the Is­land Storm to a 100-94 road vic­tory over the Wind­sor Ex­press in Na­tional Bas­ket­ball League of Canada play. Nick Evans added 20 points and 10 re­bounds while Brian Ad­di­son had 17 points and a game­high 16 re­bounds for the Storm. Chris Com­mons had 26 points and 10 re­bounds to lead the Ex­press while for­mer Storm play­ers Bran­don Robin­son had 20 points and Adrian Moss eight as­sists. The Storm held quar­ter leads of 31-19, 53-46 and 74-73. The Storm’s four new play­ers all saw ac­tion, com­bin­ing for 16 points, led by point guard Josiah Turner’s eight points, eight as­sists and seven re­bounds. The win im­proves the Is­land squad to 5-8 and snaps a three-game los­ing streak. They com­plete their On­tario road trip Sun­day with a 3 p.m. con­test against the Lon­don Light­ning.
