Roger Spot­tis­woode (“To­mor­row Never Dies”) di­rected this 2014 Cana­dian-Ital­ian na­ture drama about a teenage boy (Dakota Goyo, “Real Steel”) who res­cues a po­lar bear cub in dis­tress and tries to re­unite the young an­i­mal with its mother in north­ern Canada. Orig­i­nally pro­duced un­der the ti­tle “Mid­night Sun,” the film — which also stars Go­ran Vis­njic (“ER”) and Brid­get Moy­na­han (“Blue Bloods”) — was co-writ­ten by Hugh Hud­son (“Char­i­ots of Fire”) and filmed in and around Churchill, Man.
