Mid-Isle Mustangs shortstop Max Benton focuses on fielding a ground ball during Friday’s game against the Summerside Chevys as the Baseball P.E.I. bantam AAA elimination tournament got underway at Kowalski Park in Freetown. Mid-Isle is 2-0 after Day 1 followed by Capital District (1-1) and Summerside (0-2). Organizers moved today’s games ahead due to the weather forecast. Summerside plays Mid-Isle at 9 a.m. and Capital District at 11:30 a.m. while the Mustangs meet Capital District at 2 p.m. The championship game, if needed, is set for Sunday at 11 a.m.
