MACDONALD, Mary Jo

The funeral for Mary Jo MacDonald was held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from Belvedere Funeral Home to St. Pius X Church where the mass was presided over by Fr. Maurice Praught, assisted by Fr. Tim Broderick. Fr. Maurice Praught proclaimed the Gospel and delivered the homily. The pall was placed on the casket by Bette McAree, Jerryldine MacDonald and CD MacDonald. The readings were proclaimed by Bradley MacDonald and Helen Larkin. Jeanne McAree led the Assembly in the Prayers of the Faithful. The organist was Kathleen MacDonald and the violinist was Frank Lechowick. During the mass the church choir, under the direction of song leader Irene Gallant, led the Assembly in singing Here I Am Lord, The Lord Is My Shepherd, Be Not Afraid, Bread of Life and The Summons. Honorary pallbearers were Donna and Connie Peters, Chris and Fraser Wells, Theresa and Lennie Gallant, Marge Doyle, Leona and Peter Campbell, Patsy Myers, Joe and Carol Craswell, Ardy and Mona McClintick, Dick MacKinnon, Beverly Benson and Bernie Doucette. Pallbearers were Jeanne McAree, Darin McAree, Kent McAree, Megan McAree-Cinton, Bradley MacDonald and Dr. Ed MacDonald. Interment took place in St. Georges Church Cemetery. Following the Mass, everyone was invited to join the family for a time of fellowship and refreshments in the church hall.
