Cars crash into brew­ery park­ing lot

First re­spon­ders tended to a col­li­sion be­tween two ve­hi­cles that spilled into the Up­street Craft Brew­ery park­ing lot in Charlottetown on Mon­day night.

The col­li­sion oc­curred around 8 p.m. and saw Is­land EMS, the Charlottetown Fire De­part­ment and po­lice re­spond.

A wit­ness to the col­li­sion told The Guardian one of the ve­hi­cles ran two stop signs on Up­per Prince Street be­fore crash­ing into the front of an­other ve­hi­cle on Allen Street.

The wit­ness said both cars went over the curb, with one land­ing in front of the brew­ery’s pa­tio where pa­trons were sit­ting.

One of the ve­hi­cles had smoke com­ing from the en­gine bay, which led to a re­sponse from fire­fight­ers.

Po­lice said they had “noth­ing to re­port” on the col­li­sion.
