The Miss Brooklyn Babe Little Mermaid float was declared most original entry in this year’s Tignish Irish Moss Festival parade. With the official opening of the Stompin’ Tom Centre being celebrated just up the road, the parade was filled with music and had a distinctive Stompin’ Tom theme. All proceeds from this year’s festival are going towards the Town of Tignish’s share of a splash pad and walking trail project at Tignish Bicentennial Park. Below at left, Clean Cuts’ float, Half-cut BARbershop was judged best overall entry in Sunday’s Tignish Irish Moss Festival parade. In photo at right, it was Fr. Bud the Spud from St. Simon and St. Jude Parish. The parish priest added to his nickname for the Stompin’ Tom-themed festival parade.
