J. An­gus MacLean Nat­u­ral Ar­eas Award will be pre­sented this fall

Is­land Na­ture Trust is seek­ing nom­i­na­tions for the 2017 Hon. J. An­gus MacLean Nat­u­ral Ar­eas Award.

The award is named in hon­our of the for­mer pre­mier and strong con­ser­va­tion­ist. In­di­vid­u­als or groups that have made a sig­nif­i­cant, last­ing dif­fer­ence in in­creas­ing or im­prov­ing nat­u­ral ar­eas across P.E.I. may be nom­i­nated for the award, which is handed out an­nu­ally by Is­land Na­ture Trust.

The award will be pre­sented at Is­land Na­ture Trust’s an­nual gen­eral meet­ing this fall.

Nom­i­na­tions should be writ­ten and as de­tailed as pos­si­ble. They should in­clude brief bi­ogra­phies of the nom­i­nee as well as a clear out­line of the work done to pro­tect or man­age nat­u­ral area(s). Guide­lines and a full list of past re­cip­i­ents are avail­able. The fi­nal dead­line for sub­mis­sions is Aug. 25.
