Mar­ket opens July 5

Sum­mer is fi­nally here with the of­fi­cial open­ing of the Stan­ley Bridge Cen­tre farmer’s mar­ket fea­tur­ing new and re­turn­ing ven­dors.

The first mar­ket of the year is Wed­nes­day, July 5 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Stan­ley Bridge Cen­tre, the for­mer white church on the hill near the round­about. The farmer’s mar­ket will op­er­ate dur­ing July and Au­gust on Wed­nes­days and Satur­days from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This year’s mar­ket will also fea­ture a quilt ta­ble where tick­ets will be sold on a hand­made quilt cel­e­brat­ing Canada’s 150th an­niver­sary.

The mar­ket is a ma­jor fundraiser for the Stan­ley Bridge Cen­tre.
