A ser­vice of cel­e­bra­tion for the life of Bar­ton Boswall, beloved hus­band of the late, Roma Boswall, for­merly North Wilt­shire, was held on Fri­day, June 30, 2017, at Cen­tral Queen’s Fu­neral Home Chapel, New Glas­gow. The ser­vice was con­ducted by Rev­erend Bar­bara Wag­ner who also read scrip­tures from Ec­cle­si­astes 3:1-8, Psalm 121 and Matthew 13:19, 18-23. Rev. Wag­ner of­fered prayer and words of com­fort in her med­i­ta­tion. The Hon­or­able Wayne Easter, MP, of­fered words of re­mem­brance. Solist, Nancy Horne, ren­dered the hymn, “In the Gar­den”. The or­gan­ist, Joy MacIn­tyre, led the con­gre­ga­tional hymns, “When the Roll is Called Up Yon­der” and The Church in the Wild­wood. Other mu­si­cal se­lec­tions in­cluded an au­dio record­ing of “There’s A Blue­bird On Your Win­dowsill” by Wilf Carter. The “Last Post” was played by trum­peter, Christo­pher Gal­lant fol­lowed by a mo­ment of si­lence. Hon­orary Pall­bear­ers were ev­ery­one present. Pall­bear­ers were grand­son, Wade Crozier; and friends, El­dred Ni­chol­son, Wayne Oakes, Bren­ton Noye, Hon, Wayne Easter, Doug Mac­Don­ald, Rodney Ma­cLean and Blair Camp­bell. Flower bear­ers were grand­daugh­ters, San­dra Coles, Heather Boswall and Sharon Miller; grand­daugh­terin-law, Shel­ley Crozier; and great-grand­chil­dren, Kaylee Crozier, Rachel Miller, Me­gan Crozier, Con­nor Crozier, Blake Crozier and Olivia Miller. In­ter­ment took place in Flo­ral Hills Memo­rial Gar­dens, Pleas­ant Val­ley, where Rev. Wag­ner con­ducted the com­mit­tal ser­vice.
