A service of celebratio­n for the life of Barton Boswall, beloved husband of the late, Roma Boswall, formerly North Wiltshire, was held on Friday, June 30, 2017, at Central Queen’s Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow. The service was conducted by Reverend Barbara Wagner who also read scriptures from Ecclesiast­es 3:1-8, Psalm 121 and Matthew 13:19, 18-23. Rev. Wagner offered prayer and words of comfort in her meditation. The Honorable Wayne Easter, MP, offered words of remembranc­e. Solist, Nancy Horne, rendered the hymn, “In the Garden”. The organist, Joy MacIntyre, led the congregati­onal hymns, “When the Roll is Called Up Yonder” and The Church in the Wildwood. Other musical selections included an audio recording of “There’s A Bluebird On Your Windowsill” by Wilf Carter. The “Last Post” was played by trumpeter, Christophe­r Gallant followed by a moment of silence. Honorary Pallbearer­s were everyone present. Pallbearer­s were grandson, Wade Crozier; and friends, Eldred Nicholson, Wayne Oakes, Brenton Noye, Hon, Wayne Easter, Doug MacDonald, Rodney MacLean and Blair Campbell. Flower bearers were granddaugh­ters, Sandra Coles, Heather Boswall and Sharon Miller; granddaugh­terin-law, Shelley Crozier; and great-grandchild­ren, Kaylee Crozier, Rachel Miller, Megan Crozier, Connor Crozier, Blake Crozier and Olivia Miller. Interment took place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley, where Rev. Wagner conducted the committal service.
