Fid­dlers’ Sons, Keelin Wedge both launch new al­bums Thurs­day

The open­ing night of the Close to the Ground Con­cert Se­ries in Pooles Cor­ner will be a dou­ble CD launch party.

Fid­dlers’ Sons and band mem­ber Keelin Wedge both have new al­bums to launch.

The band is cel­e­brat­ing 20 years to­gether with the re­lease of its new al­bum, “Fid­dlers’ Sons - The Best Of Twenty Years 1997-2017,” a col­lec­tion of the band’s most pop­u­lar re­quests from their seven record­ings along with three new songs.

Band mem­ber Wedge, mean­while, re­leases “The Tra­di­tional Files,” a fid­dle and acous­tic gui­tar al­bum recorded in her home stu­dio in Welling­ton.

The two new al­bums will be avail­able where Fid­dlers’ Sons and Wedge play across P.E.I. this sum­mer.

The Close to the Ground Con­cert Se­ries is a weekly roots mu­sic se­ries is hosted by the band, fea­tur­ing a dif­fer­ent mu­si­cal guest ev­ery Thurs­day night through Sept. 28 at Kaylee Hall.
