Scotch­fort man pleads guilty to dam­ag­ing po­lice ve­hi­cle

A 31-year-old man pleaded guilty to dam­ag­ing a po­lice ve­hi­cle fol­low­ing his ar­rest.

An­drew Fitzger­ald Levi was ar­rested on May 12 in Scotch­fort for public in­tox­i­ca­tion.

P.E.I. pro­vin­cial court heard Wed­nes­day that

“very irate’’ and pro­ceeded to kick a door Levi be­came from in­side a po­lice ve­hi­cle.

The RCMP is seek­ing $820 in resti­tu­tion for the dam­age Levi caused to the ve­hi­cle.

Levi, who has a prior crim­i­nal record in­clud­ing pos­ses­sion of a weapon dan­ger­ous to the public and mis­chief caus­ing dam­age to public prop­erty, ap­peared in court wear­ing a mus­cle shirt that read Born To Be Wild.

He will be sen­tenced July 19.
