The fu­neral for the late Doris Ann Dunn, beloved wife of the late Louis Dunn of the Rev .W. J. Phillips Res­i­dence Al­ber­ton and for­merly of Elms­dale was held on Fri­day, morn­ing June, 30, 2017 from the Rooney Fu­neral Home Al­ber­ton to the Sa­cred Heart Church Al­ber­ton where fu­neral mass of Con-cel­e­bra­tion was cel­e­brated at 10:30 a.m. The chief cel­e­brant was Rev. Eric Dunn, nephew of the de­ceased. The co cel­e­brants were Rev. An­drew MacDon­ald and the Rev. Al­bin Arse­nault. The Homily was de­liv­ered by Father Dunn who also had the prayers of fi­nal com­men­da­tion and farewell. The first read­ing from the Book of Rev­e­la­tion, ”Death will be no More,” was ad­dressed by grand­daugh­ter, Su­san Dun­nPrice. The sec­ond read­ing a let­ter of Saint Paul to the Ro­mans, “Let us Walk in New­ness of Life” was ad­dressed by Grand­son Dean Gal­lant. The prayers of the faith­full were in­vited by Marie Keefe sis­ter of the de­ceased. The Cru­cifer was Irv­ing Brod­er­ick and the can­dle bear­ers were Joe Cal­laghan and Emile Bernard. The choir was un­der the di­rec­tion of Phyl­lis Matthews. The or­gan­ist was Diane Han­dra­han. The Pro­ces­sional hymn was This Day God Gives Me. The psalm was The Lord is My Shep­herd. The of­fer­tory hymn was I Will Never Forget You My Peo­ple. The Com­mu­nion hymn was Here I Am Lord. The Post Com­mu­nion hymn, Hail Mary Gen­tle Women was sung by Ch­eryl Bell (Gui­tar) and Win­nie Gal­lant (Gui­tar). The song of farewell was Songs of the An­gels. The re­ces­sional hymn was Amaz­ing Grace. Ev­ery­one present for the Fu­neral Li­turgy were con­sid­ered to be Hon­orary Pall­bear­ers. The ac­tive pall­bear­ers were nephew, Peter Grif­fin and grand­sons, Cody Dunn, Colin Gal­lant, Chris Gal­lant, An­drew McCarthy, Robert McCarthy. The flower bear­ers were Grand­daugh­ters, Patti Keough, Jen­nifer Rozell, Amy Dunn Han­nay, Keila Dunn deMerlis, Mar­sha Dunn, Nikki Dunn, Erica Gal­lant -Gaudet,Great grand­son Brady Gal­lant & niece Robin Dunn. In­ter­ment was in the church ceme­tery with Rev. Eric Dunn of­fi­ci­at­ing. On Thurs­day af­ter­noon the Sa­cred Heart C.W.L held prayers for their de­parted mem­ber at the fu­neral home un­der the di­rec­tion of Jean Cahill, The Scrip­ture was ad­dressed by Ber­nadette Fo­ley, and prayers by Rev.
