The fu­neral for Mar­jorie Doiron (nee Watts), beloved wife of the late Ray­mond Doiron, of Hunter River, was held on Tues­day, July 4, 2017, at St. Anne’s Ro­man Catholic Church, Hope River. The presider for the mass of Chris­tian burial was Rev­erend Arul­raj San­ti­ago, who also pro­claimed the Gospel and de­liv­ered the homily. The pall was placed on the cas­ket by the fam­ily. The first read­ing, from Ecclesiastes, was ad­dressed by grand­daugh­ter, Paula Foster. The sec­ond read­ing, from II Ti­mothy, was ad­dressed by grand­daugh­ter, Erin Brown. The Prayers of the Faith­ful were led by grand­daugh­ter, Sherry Doiron. Words of re­mem­brance were given by daugh­ter, Mar­jorie Le­maire. The al­tar servers were Den­nis Doiron, Estelle Bour­geois and Mar­ion Murphy. Carol Evans as­sisted Father San­ti­ago as a Eucharis­tic min­is­ter. The mu­sic was pro­vided by the church choir with Shirley Doiron as or­gan­ist. The hymns were En­trance, “Here I Am, Lord”; Psalm, “The Lord Is My Shep­herd”, with Jimmy McAleer as can­tor; Gospel Ac­cla­ma­tion, “Celtic Al­leluia”, with Jimmy McAleer as can­tor; of­fer­tory, “Hail Mary, Gen­tle Woman”; com­mu­nion, “Peace Is Flow­ing”; com­men­da­tion, “Songs of the An­gels”; and re­ces­sional, “I Was Full of Joy”. Hon­orary pall­bear­ers were ev­ery­one present. Pall­bear­ers were Bill Gal­lant, Ray­mond Doiron, Wil­fred Watts, Kelvin Doiron, Steven Doiron and Dale Watts. In­ter­ment took place in St. Ann’s Ceme­tery, where Father Raj con­ducted the com­mit­tal ser­vice. Ar­range­ments were en­trusted to Cen­tral Queen’s Fu­neral Home, New Glas­gow.
