The fields are set for the Governor’s Plate eliminations.
The two $5,000 races will be the final two events on a 12dash program at Red Shores at Summerside Raceway on Sunday afternoon. Post time for the opening card of Governor’s Plate Week harness racing is set for 1 p.m.
The top four finishers from each elimination, which both feature eight entries, will advance to the $22,000 Governor’s Plate final, presented by Summerside Chrysler Dodge, on Saturday, July 15.
Forever Paradise and driver Adam Merner will have the rail in the first elimination – Race 11. Merner will also drive Adkins Hanover from the rail in Race 12.
YS Lotus set the current Summerside Raceway track pacing record of 1:51.4 in last year’s 48th running of the Governor’s Plate final.
