Road re­pairs con­tinue along Trans-Canada High­way

Con­struc­tion of the Trans-Canada High­way (TCH) ex­ten­sion will con­tinue dur­ing the com­ing week, with the ex­cep­tion of Sun­day.

Work is pro­gress­ing along the North River Cause­way and at the in­ter­sec­tion of the York Point and War­ren Grove roads.

The up­com­ing week’s work will in­clude paving, con­struc­tion of the ac­tive trans­porta­tion trail, in­stal­la­tion of elec­tri­cal in­fra­struc­ture for fu­ture high­way light­ing, con­crete curb­ing and formwork as well as deck work on the North River Bridge.

Two lanes of traf­fic will be main­tained dur­ing the morn­ing and evening com­mutes (east­bound from 7:30 to 9 a.m., and west­bound from 4 to 5:30 p.m.).

Driv­ers should con­sider us­ing al­ter­nate routes and times to avoid de­lays, es­pe­cially dur­ing morn­ing and evening com­mut­ing hours.
