CADC future still in limbo

The Guardian (Charlottetown) - - THE ISLAND -

There’s still no new news when it comes to the future of the Charlottetown Area Development Corporation or Summerside Regional Development Corporation.

The provincial government announced late last year it was moving to take over the two corporations, but it’s been business as usual since. Charlottetown Mayor Clifford Lee said discussions are still taking place with the province and that they plan to wrap up operations of CADC within 12 months.

That means the city will need to determine the approach it wants to take with the parking garages.

Right now, the city owns the parkades but CADC manages them.
