The fu­neral for Robert Al­li­son “Henry” Hawbolt was held on Mon­day, July 10, 2017 from Belvedere Fu­neral Home to Peter Gor­don Me­mo­rial United Church where the ser­vice was con­ducted by the Rev. Kevin Ding­well. The or­gan­ist was Aaron Crane. Dur­ing the ser­vice El­iz­a­beth Mosher sang “I Know Who Holds To­mor­row”. Mem­bers of Mount Ste­wart, Morell and St. Peter’s Bay Choirs sang We Have an An­chor. The con­gre­ga­tional hymns were “Joy­ful, Joy­ful, We Adore You” and “In the Bulb There Is a Flower”. Scrip­ture pas­sages were read by Stephanie Rooney and words of re­mem­brance were shared by Mark Rooney. Hon­orary pall­bear­ers were every­one present. Pall­bear­ers were Al­lie Doucette, Jen­nifer DeCoursey, Danny Geldert, Joey Ross, Dy­lan Fer­gu­son and Greg An­der­son. Flower­bear­ers were Sean Rooney, Matthew Rooney, Emery MacEwen and Colby MacEwen. In­ter­ment took place in West St. Peters Ceme­tery. Fol­low­ing the in­ter­ment, every­one was in­vited back to the church for a time of fel­low­ship.
