Char­lot­te­town’s eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment of­fi­cer is a busy man th­ese days.

Ron Atkin­son is par­tic­i­pat­ing with the provincewide mu­nic­i­pal work­ing group on new­comer re­ten­tion and pre­sented to the group at the last meet­ing in Montague.

He also took part in the At­lantic Canada Eco­nomic Coali­tion, which in­volves eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment rep­re­sen­ta­tives from the seven largest At­lantic Cana­dian cities that are look­ing for ways to com­mu­ni­cate bet­ter and pos­si­bly col­lab­o­rate. In ad­di­tion, Atkin­son at­tended Big Data Day at UPEI, ad­vised on four eco­nomic ad­vi­sory coun­cils be­ing ini­ti­ated by the prov­ince and re­layed an in­vi­ta­tion from the cham­ber of com­merce to any­one that wants to at­tend any of the cham­ber mix­ers held each month.
