Developer has change of heart
After withdrawing his application in May to build a four-storey, 23-unit apartment dwelling on Richmond Street, a Charlottetown developer has had a change of heart.
Tim Banks had sought to consolidate 55 Richmond St. and 59 Richmond St. and approve off-lot parking for the building.
The issue ran into opposition with neighbours in the adjacent Richmond Place apartment building who weren’t comfortable that some of the outdoor decks on Banks’ building were going to abut the property, bringing them close to outdoor decks on Richmond Place. However, Coun. Terry MacLeod, vice-chairman of the planning committee, moved a resolution at council’s meeting Monday that the application process is back on.
