The death oc­curred peace­fully, with fam­ily by his side, at The Gar­den Home, Char­lot­te­town, on Tues­day, July 11, 2017, of Lawrence “Larry” Doiron, beloved hus­band of Marie Doiron (Doucette), for­merly of Rus­tico, age 88. Lawrence was the lov­ing fa­ther of Bob (Eve), David (Ann Marie), Donna Hay­ball (Randy), Kay Doiron (Don Nat­te­nay), John (Ly­dia) and Janet Mad­dix (John); grand­fa­ther of Lee Anne, Ja­son, Sara, Mar­cia, Jenell, Lo­gan, Gavin and Cody; and great-grand­fa­ther of Ryker and Ethan. He is also sur­vived by his broth­ers, Den­nis (Kath­leen) and Melvin (Anita); sis­ters, Louise Clarkin (John), Vi­vian Gau­thier (Sonny); sis­ter-in-law, Ella Mae Doiron; and nu­mer­ous nieces, neph­ews, and friends. Lawrence was pre­de­ceased by his son David, and son in in­fancy; his par­ents, John and Rose (Peters) Doiron; his par­ents-in­law, Cor­nelius and Katherine (Doucette) Doucette; broth­ers Ivan and Vic­tor Doiron; and sis­ter, Marie Gal­lant (Arthur). Rest­ing at Cen­tral Queen’s Fu­neral Home, 2538, Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for vis­i­ta­tion on Fri­day, July 14, 2017, from 6 to 9 p.m. Fu­neral mass will be cel­e­brated at St. Au­gus­tine’s Ro­man Catholic Church, Rus­tico, on Satur­day, July 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. In­ter­ment in St. Au­gus­tine’s Ceme­tery.
