The fu­neral for Bren­dan Bell was held on Satur­day, July 1, 2017, from the Hen­nessey Cut­cliffe Char­lot­te­town Fu­neral Home to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer where the fu­neral mass was cel­e­brated by Rev­erend Do­vari Joseph. The old tes­ta­ment read­ing was pro­claimed by son-in-law Richard Moore and the new tes­ta­ment read­ing was given by daugh­ter Lori Daw­son. The prayers of the faith­ful were of­fered by step­daugh­ter, Eileen Smith. The fu­neral mass was sung by Holy Redeemer Fu­neral Choir un­der the di­rec­tion of Tom Wilkin­son with or­gan­ist Gary Cud­more. They sang the en­trance hymn, Amaz­ing Grace, the Psalm, The Lord Is My Shep­herd, the com­mu­nion hymn, I Am The Bread of Life, the in­cens­ing hymn, Songs of the An­gels and the re­ces­sional hymn, Be Not Afraid. Soloist , Judy Clark, sang the of­fer­tory hymn, I Can Only Imag­ine and the med­i­ta­tion hymn, How Great Thou Art. Words of re­mem­brance were given by el­dest daugh­ter Joy Bell MacKen­zie, in mem­ory of her fa­ther. Rev­erend Barry Clark also gave words of com­fort to the fam­ily. The in­ter­ment took place in the Ro­man Catholic Ceme­tery, Park­dale.
