The fu­neral for Mr. Joseph A. Far­rell was held on Mon­day, July 10, 2017 from the Hen­nessey Cut­cliffe Char­lot­te­town Fu­neral Home to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer where the fu­neral mass was cel­e­brated by Rev­erend Joseph Do­vari who also de­liv­ered the homily. The lessons were read by Joe’s grand­son Stephen Ma­har and son Joey Far­rell. The prayers of in­ter­ces­sion were of­fered by niece Irene Mac­Don­ald. The fu­neral mass was sung by the Holy Redeemer Fu­neral Choir un­der the di­rec­tion of Tom Wilkin­son. The or­gan­ist was Gary Cud­more. Dur­ing the mass the pro­ces­sional hymn was On Ea­gles Wings, the of­fer­tory hymn was In The Gar­den, the com­mu­nion hymn was I Am The Bread of Life, the med­i­ta­tion solo was Ave Maria sung by Tom Wilkin­son and the re­ces­sional hymn was How Great Thou Art. The pall­bear­ers were grand­son’s Mark Run­dle, Kyle Flana­gan, Kenny Flana­gan, Michael Ma­har, Stephen Ma­har, Christo­pher Far­rell and Mark Ma­har. The honorary pall­bear­ers were Don­nie & Pearl Fitz­patrick, Wal­ter & Ruth MacGre­gor, Tack McKenna, Carl Wil­son, Peg Pe­tre, Reg Flana­gan, Mack Ma­cLeod, Ed Peters, Kenny Hay­wood, Sid Vessey, Ralph Park­man, Li­nus Doyle, Al­li­son Coles, Boyce Holmes, Roy MacMil­lan, Harry Beaton, Martina Mur­phy and ev­ery­one in at­ten­dance. The in­ter­ment took place in the Ro­man Catholic Ceme­tery, Char­lot­te­town.
