The fu­neral for Jackie Mac­In­tyre was held on Fri­day, July 14, 2017 from the Hen­nessey Cut­cliffe Char­lot­te­town Fu­neral Home to St. Bon­aven­ture’s Church, Tra­cadie Cross, where the fu­neral mass was cel­e­brated by Rev­erend John Lacey who also de­liv­ered the homily. The first read­ing was pro­claimed by niece Faith Mac­In­tyre. The sec­ond read­ing was pro­claimed by cousin Barb Mac­Dougall. The prayers of in­ter­ces­sion were of­fered by grand­daugh­ters Alix Stymest and Meg Ben­tham. The fu­neral mass was sung by gui­tarist and soloist, Jo­ce­lyne Ludgate. She ren­dered the en­trance hymn, Softly and Ten­derly, the of­fer­tory hymn, Peace Prayer, the com­mu­nion hymn, I am the Bread of Life, the in­cens­ing hymn, Songs of the An­gels, and the re­ces­sional hymn, Song for the Mira. The pall­bear­ers were Jeff Stymest, Gordie White, Tyler White, Pa­trick Neary, Frankie Mac­In­tyre Jr., and Richard Allen. The honorary pall­bear­ers were ev­ery­one in at­ten­dance. The in­ter­ment took place in the St. Bon­aven­ture’s Parish Ceme­tery, where Fr. Lacey held the grave­side ser­vice.
