Driver with three times blood al­co­hol weaves past RCMP

A 66-year-old man from Kings County is sched­uled to ap­pear in Ge­orge­town Court in Au­gust on charges of drunk driv­ing.

Kings Dis­trict RCMP was pa­trolling the For­tune Bridge area on Mon­day, July 17, around mid-af­ter­noon, when an of­fi­cer saw a ve­hi­cle driv­ing ir­reg­u­larly. The of­fi­cer stopped the car and found that the male driver was drunk.

The driver was taken to the Mon­tague RCMP of­fice for breath test­ing. Read­ings were over three times the le­gal limit of blood al­co­hol, al­leges a po­lice re­port.
