The fu­neral for Lesley El­iz­a­beth Strubel of Bed­eque was held Satur­day July 15, 2017 from the Dav­i­son Fu­neral Home Kens­ing­ton to St. John’s Angli­can Church, St. Eleanor’s, where the ser­vice was con­ducted at 10 a.m. by Rev. Colin Ni­colle and Rev. G.E. Ned Hen­thorn who also de­liv­ered the Mes­sage. Mu­si­cal Pre­lude was played by Harpist Jill Har­ris. Words of Re­mem­brance were shared by Mi­randa and Peter Strubel; Peter also read the poem Do Not Stand at my Grave and Weep; Mi­randa read the poem Death is Noth­ing at All. Scrip­ture read­ing Isa­iah 40: 28-31 was read by Fran­cie Docherty. Soloist Ju­liana Elsinga ren­dered the se­lec­tions Hal­lelu­jah, You Raise Me Up and Time to Say Good­bye. Dur­ing the ser­vice Lesley’s Song, writ­ten and sung by Mi­randa Strubel was played. Recorded se­lec­tions were Love by Len­non and Maisy Stella and Cir­cle Game by Joni Mitchell were played. Re­ces­sional Hymn was Go Now in Peace. The or­gan­ist was Bob MacLeod. Pall­bear­ers were Ed­die Doucette, Gor­don Cof­fin, Ger­ald Proc­tor and Stephen Glover. At­tend­ing the fu­neral were mem­bers of Prince Ed­ward Is­land Mas­sage Ther­apy As­so­ci­a­tion and Brethren of Mount Mo­riah Ma­sonic Lodge No 15, Bed­eque.
