The funeral for Lesley Elizabeth Strubel of Bedeque was held Saturday July 15, 2017 from the Davison Funeral Home Kensington to St. John’s Anglican Church, St. Eleanor’s, where the service was conducted at 10 a.m. by Rev. Colin Nicolle and Rev. G.E. Ned Henthorn who also delivered the Message. Musical Prelude was played by Harpist Jill Harris. Words of Remembrance were shared by Miranda and Peter Strubel; Peter also read the poem Do Not Stand at my Grave and Weep; Miranda read the poem Death is Nothing at All. Scripture reading Isaiah 40: 28-31 was read by Francie Docherty. Soloist Juliana Elsinga rendered the selections Hallelujah, You Raise Me Up and Time to Say Goodbye. During the service Lesley’s Song, written and sung by Miranda Strubel was played. Recorded selections were Love by Lennon and Maisy Stella and Circle Game by Joni Mitchell were played. Recessional Hymn was Go Now in Peace. The organist was Bob MacLeod. Pallbearers were Eddie Doucette, Gordon Coffin, Gerald Proctor and Stephen Glover. Attending the funeral were members of Prince Edward Island Massage Therapy Association and Brethren of Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge No 15, Bedeque.
