Hens­man joins Phase II

Tal­ented mu­si­cians will be guests on stage

A well-trav­elled and tal­ented mu­si­cian by the name of Mike Hens­man will be tak­ing the stage as this week’s spe­cial guest of Phase II and Friends at the weekly Pub Night at the North Rus­tico Lions’ Hall tonight be­gin­ning at 8 p.m.

Born in Toronto, Mike mar­ried an Is­land girl and since 2002 has been a per­ma­nent res­i­dent of P.E.I. The mem­bers of Phase II and friends, which in­clude Blaine Mur­phy, John McGarry, Ed Young, Pat King, Keila Gly­don, Jeanie Camp­bell and Gerry Hickey look for­ward to meet­ing and hear­ing their guest per­form.

“This will be Mike’s first time on our stage but he is known to be a very ex­pe­ri­enced and tal­ented per­former. He has lit­er­ally played from coast to coast across Canada and has even ven­tured as far as Nashville. Mike’s set will in­clude great tunes by Van Mor­ri­son, Garth Brooks, Jimmy Buf­fet and Elvis, along with sev­eral others, said Hickey.”

Phase II known for its di­ver­sity, so Hens­man sounds like a per­fect fit.

Pub Night hap­pens ev­ery Thurs­day from 8-11 p.m. The hall fea­tures air-con­di­tioned com­fort as well as a fully stocked bar and can­teen.

The night fea­tures ev­ery­thing from Elvis and Chubby Checker to Garth Brooks and Abba. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
