At the age of 88 years, the un­ex­pected but peace­ful pass­ing of Al Cor­ner of Strat­ford, P.E.I., for­merly of Guelph, On­tario oc­curred on July 19, 2017 at the Queen Elizabeth Hos­pi­tal in Char­lot­te­town, P.E.I. Al was the lov­ing hus­band of his wife of 38 years, Carol Ann (Ho­gan) Cor­ner and the proud fa­ther of sons Jeff (Dianne), Greg “Supa” (Kimba), Paul (Lau­rie) and step-daugh­ters Ta­sia Lerikos (Charles) and Chris­tine Lerikos-Fis­cher (Pete). Al is re­mem­bered by grand­chil­dren Chris­tine, Crys­tal and Wes­ley; step-grand­sons An­drew and Blake; great-grand­daugh­ter Mikayla and his dear brother Frank (Di) of Hamil­ton, On­tario. He is also re­mem­bered by many sis­ters-in-law, broth­ers-in-law, nieces, neph­ews and cousins. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents Wes and Nell Cor­ner of Toronto, On­tario. Al is rest­ing at Belvedere Fu­neral Home in Char­lot­te­town, P.E.I. from where vis­i­ta­tion and memo­rial ser­vice will be held at a later date. The care and car­ing he re­ceived from the Unit 8 med­i­cal team at the Queen Elizabeth Hos­pi­tal was truly in­cred­i­ble and so very much ap­pre­ci­ated. Memo­rial do­na­tions to the Queen Elizabeth Hos­pi­tal Foun­da­tion would be wel­comed.
