The roof comes off

Lester MacPherson and Jeannie Cameron headliners

The York Community Centre will be rocking on Sunday night when Lester MacPherson and Jeannie Cameron take the stage.

Host Judy MacLean will host the Sunday Night Shenanigan­s event that begins at 7 p.m.

Also on the bill is singer/comedian Emmett DeCoursey.

MacPherson performs regularly at dances, benefits and ceilidhs and has nine CDs to his credit, the most recent being “Don’t Stop the Music’’.

Cameron hails from Lot 16 and has been featured as the opening act for such groups as the Good Brothers and many others. She has continued performing locally with her backup guitarist, Roy Arsenault.

Cameron also produced a CD called “Black Coffee’’.

The evening includes a 50/50 draw and a light lunch.

Tickets are at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the show getting underway at 7 p.m.

The York Community Centre is located on Route 25, York Road. It is air conditione­d and wheelchair accessible.
