Vec­tor em­ployee makes list

An em­ployee of Vec­tor Aerospace Cor­po­ra­tion in Sle­mon Park has been named in the 2017 “Top 20 Un­der 40” re­port pro­duced by Wings and Heli­copters mag­a­zines.

Lind­say Hai, a se­nior fi­nance project man­ager at Vec­tor’s Engine Ser­vices - At­lantic di­vi­sion, be­gan her ca­reer with Vec­tor in 2009. Lind­say worked as a fi­nan­cial an­a­lyst with Vec­tor while si­mul­ta­ne­ously study­ing for her MBA and Cer­ti­fied Man­age­ment Ac­coun­tant des­ig­na­tion at Saint Mary’s Univer­sity.

A year af­ter grad­u­at­ing at the top of her class in 2013, she re­joined Vec­tor as a full-time em­ployee, ini­tially as a se­nior fi­nan­cial an­a­lyst, be­fore be­ing pro­moted to busi­ness per­for­mance man­ager 18 months later. One year af­ter her ini­tial man­age­ment ap­point­ment, she was pro­moted to se­nior fi­nance project man­ager, over­see­ing var­i­ous work­ing cap­i­tal projects for the com­pany.

Now in its fifth year, the Top 20 Un­der 40 pro­gram cel­e­brates 20 in­flu­encers within Canada’s aerospace in­dus­try who have al­tered their re­spec­tive or­ga­ni­za­tions for the bet­ter, spear­head­ing change on a num­ber of lev­els. Th­ese 20 in­di­vid­u­als were care­fully se­lected by the mag­a­zines’ ed­i­to­rial teams fol­low­ing a for­mal nom­i­na­tion process, with can­di­dates cho­sen based on their in­flu­ence at work, their lead­er­ship in lo­cal com­mu­ni­ties, and their com­mit­ment to clients and col­leagues.

“Lind­say is em­blem­atic of the suc­cess of Vec­tor’s Summerside fa­cil­ity,” said Jeff Poirier, pres­i­dent of Vec­tor Aerospace Engine Ser­vices - At­lantic. “Her ded­i­ca­tion, cus­tomer fo­cus and em­pha­sis on con­tin­u­ous im­prove­ment has en­abled Lind­say to firmly es­tab­lish her­self within our team, and we are ex­tremely proud that her achieve­ments to date have been rec­og­nized by Wings and Heli­copters mag­a­zines.”
