Everyone is invited to the annual Brudenell Pioneers Memorial Service, set for Sunday at 3 p.m., at the Montague Church of Christ on Main Street.

The service is held every year to commemorate the anniversary of the arrival of a group of settlers from Scotland in the fall of 1803, who came to be known as the Brudenell pioneers.

The guest speaker will be Lynda McFarlane.

Also taking part in the service will be piper Larry Fitzpatrick, Beth Smith, who will recite a Scottish poem, and Niall Mackay, who will lead those attending in Auld Lang Syne.

A memorial wreath will also be laid.

A picnic will follow in the church.
